Marble

Formed under intense pressure and heat, Marble is a metamorphic rock composed of recrystallized carbonate minerals, most commonly calcite or dolomite. Geologists use the term "marble" to refer to metamorphosed limestone. It is one of the most elegant, natural stones and should be treated like a fine piece of wood, avoiding sharp objects that will scratch, hot appliances that will scorch and spills from citric acids, alcohols, vinegar and oils.

Marble is most commonly used in bathrooms as it is more resilient to make up and other similar products. It is not quite as durable as other natural stones such as granite but can be in a kitchen that is not heavily used. Properly sealing both granite and marble extends its lustrous appeal.

Marble has been used for thousands of years. It's beauty is undeniable. Imagine the statues in Athens, Greece, in the Vatican in Rome, these are just a few examples of its magnificence. The Taj Mahal is clad entirely in Marble! Choose from a variety of colors and textures from White Carrara to Rain Forest. Marble is not only used as vanity counter tops but also as fireplace mantles and sweeping staircases. Grace the entrance way to your home with a marble foyer. Whether you are looking for a contemporary or cultured, traditional look, marble has it to offer with its innovative mosaic collection to its timeless Dianna Royale Collection.
