Quartzite

Quartzite is a hard metamorphic rock that was originally sandstone. Quartzite is distinguished by its natural high quality and sparkling appearances. With its shifting aesthetics, the light reflects from the variety of its mineral patterned surfaces.

Sandstone is converted into quartzite through heating and pressure. When sandstone is metamorphosed to quartzite, the individual grains and cementing material re-crystallize to form an interlocking mosaic of quartz crystals.

Along with its uniqueness and natural beauty, quartzite is also strong and durable. It is an excellent material for anti- slip areas. Quartzite is impervious to stains and it doesn't wear significantly.

Quartzite pavers and wall cladding can be used for pool surroundings, large outdoor areas, walls, courtyards, water features, stepping stones and anywhere else the imagination allows.

Come in to La Terra Stone to see our display of Golden White quartzite pavers and quartzite ledger panels.

La Terra Stone is open Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 2:00 PM. Sunday and evening hours are welcomed by appointment.
